Atiku, Amaechi Make ADC List for Ekiti Governorship Election [LIST]

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has appointed former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi to its Campaign Committee for the upcoming Ekiti State governorship election.
The appointments bring together the politicians who previously vied against each other in the recent ADC presidential primaries, where both Amaechi and Mohammed Hayatu-Deen lost out to Atiku.
According to a document released by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, these former rivals have been integrated into the central Election Management Council to coordinate the party’s upcoming electoral campaign.
In the list, Atiku Abubakar is placed at number one on the register, with Rotimi Amaechi designated at number two, followed immediately by Mohammed Hayatu-Deen at number three.
The strategic management team also features other notable political figures including former Cross River State Governor Liyel Imoke, former Sokoto State Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, former Attorney-General of the Federation Abubakar Malami, former Minister of State for Education Emeka Nwajiuba, Senator Ireti Kingibe, and former Imo State Governor Emeka Ihedioha.
There are other individuals placed under various committees.
The committees are created to support the party’s flagbearer, Oluwadare Bejide, a former High Commissioner to Canada, ahead of the June 20, 2026, governorship election, where the ADC intends to mount a challenge against the incumbent governor, Biodun Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
