Insecurity: Nigeria, Germany deepen military cooperation through defence partnership
The National Defence College (NDC) and the German embassy have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral defence cooperation through enhanced professional military education, strategic research, leadership development and institutional exchanges.
The renewed commitment was made during a working visit by Christian Schmidt, head of delegation for German military cooperation, to the college in Abuja.
In a statement on Thursday, the NDC said the engagement underscored the growing defence partnership between Nigeria and Germany as both countries seek to strengthen collaboration in addressing evolving security challenges.
The college said the partnership will focus on expanding professional military education, promoting strategic research, enhancing leadership development and deepening institutional exchanges between both countries.
The NDC added that the renewed cooperation reflects the shared commitment of Nigeria and Germany to building stronger defence institutions and improving military capacity through sustained collaboration.
