Former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Ali Pantami, has presented his Certificate of Return to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader in Gombe State, Senator Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo.

Pantami, who won the PDP ticket to contest the Gombe State governorship election in 2027, made the presentation at Senator Dankwambo’s residence in Abuja on Thursday, June 25, 2026.

According to a statement issued by the Pantamiyya Movement, the visit forms part of Pantami’s ongoing consultations with top PDP leaders following his emergence as the party’s governorship candidate.

The former minister had earlier presented his Certificate of Return to the PDP Chairman in Gombe State, Maj. Gen. Aminu Kwaskebe (Rtd.), and other critical party stakeholders.

Senator Dankwambo, who chairs the Senate Committee on Public Accounts, congratulated Pantami on his victory at the PDP primaries and commended him for the courtesy visit.

He expressed confidence in Pantami’s chances, noting that presenting a credible, tested, and widely accepted candidate gives the party a strong advantage.

The former Gombe governor also wished the PDP candidate success in the 2027 election and prayed for victory for the party.

The statement highlighted Pantami’s strong record of public service, noting that he facilitated over 241 projects and programmes across Gombe State during his time as minister.
