Ex-Super Eagles striker Michael Eneramo dies after collapsing during match

A former Super Eagles striker, Michael Eneramo is dead.
Eneramo was said to have died on Friday, April 24, after he collapsed during a local friendly match in the Ungwan Yelwa area of Kaduna State.
It was gathered that Eneramo was making an appearance at the Angwan Yelwa pitch in the Television area of the city.
Sources privy to the incident said Eneramo, born in Kaduna on November 26, 1985, played the entire first half of the game before his collapse.
The sources also said that there is a likelihood that the late former Super Eagles player might have suffered a cardiac arrest at about five minutes into the second half of the game.
One of the sources said, “He slumped and died right on the spot. Efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.
“He was pronounced dead at the hospital,” the source added.
The international player had earlier retired from professional football after playing for several clubs like Besiktas of Turkey, Tunisian side Esperance, and Nigerian club Lobi Stars.
Before his passing, the striker was also said to have established a football academy after his International streaks.
