In a forthcoming memoir titled “Working with Buhari,” Femi Adesina, who served as Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to former President Muhammadu Buhari for eight years, has revealed that the ex-president has a multifaceted personality.
Adesina said Buhari may appear stern to members of the public; he, however, stated that the former president has a a softer, kinder side in private interactions.
The memoir by Femi Adesina, set for public release in January 2024, delved into the intriguing character of Buhari.
Adesina recalled Buhari’s response upon learning about the defection of former Senate President Bukola Saraki and the Speaker of the House of Reps, Yakubu Dogara, before the 2019 elections.
The former president’s reaction, as described by Adesina, was marked by indifference.
His words:
“I remember when news of Bukola Saraki’s defection, along with Yakubu Dogara and many other senators and Rep members, got to him before the 2019 election, he simply said: “And who the bloody hell does that bother?”
We re agree with what u said about ex-president Muhammadu Buhari.
Buhari can say he’s not bothered by Saraki’s defection because he doesn’t need the majority’s votes to win with our very corrupt INEC by his side. As far as I know, Buhari and APC has never won election before. And Buhari remains the worst thing that has happened to Nigeria. Hefm forced himself on the nation and completely damaged the economy. Shame on the likes of Femi who brought him.
