A member of the European Parliament, Dominik Tarcziñsky, has openly backed former U.S. President Donald Trump and declared that “Nigerian Christians will be rescued very soon.”

The Polish lawmaker made the comment in a post on X on Sunday, showing support for Trump’s recent stance on religious persecution in Nigeria.

Tarcziñsky wrote, “Nigerian Christians will be rescued very soon,” while reacting to Trump’s renewed push to place Nigeria on a global watchlist for alleged attacks on Christians.

Trump had earlier described Nigeria as a country of concern, citing reported killings and attacks on Christian communities.

He warned that Washington could intervene if the situation continues without action from authorities in Abuja.

The Nigerian government, however, has consistently rejected claims of persecution, insisting that religious freedoms are protected across the country. Officials maintain that insecurity affects citizens of all faiths and backgrounds.

Tarcziñsky’s statement has stirred fresh debate among rights groups and political observers, with many calling for transparency and stronger protection for vulnerable communities across Nigeria.

Meanwhile, Trump intensified pressure over the weekend, threatening possible military measures if “nothing is done quickly” to protect Christian minorities.

This development has added to growing international scrutiny as global voices continue to demand stronger intervention and accountability from Nigerian authorities.
