EFCC targeting Malami, El-Rufai to weaken opposition – ADC youth leader insists

Hassana Shuaibu Dada, assistant national youth leader (north central) of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has criticised what she described as politically driven and selective prosecutions targeting Abubakar Malami and Nasir El-Rufai.

Dada made the remarks in a statement issued on Wednesday, where she accused the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of masterminding the prosecutions to undermine the ADC.

According to her, the prosecution of Malami and El-Rufai indicates that the ADC poses a challenge to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Her words: “The selective prosecutions of our leaders, Hon. Abubakar Malami and Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, through the EFCC are clearly politically motivated efforts to weaken the ADC because we represent a real alternative to the ruling party.

“These efforts will not intimidate us; instead, they will only strengthen our unity and resolve.”

Dada reiterated the ADC’s commitment to justice, inclusion and national renewal.

She called on Nigerians to remain vigilant and support the party as a credible platform for good governance and progress.
