A veteran Nigerian photojournalist, Joe Oroye, is dead, POLITICS NIGERIA reports.
Oroye died on Monday at a hospital in his home town of Ogbomosho, Oyo State, Southwest Nigeria, after a protracted battle with stroke.
The 79-year-old who lost his wife in 2021, is survived by four children and many grandchildren.
Oroye worked at Media Trust Limited from February 1999 to March 12, 2009.
He was a correspondent of Daily Trust at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja for many years.
