As the counting result of the Independent National Electoral Commission announced on Sunday morning, Sabo has attained the chairmanship triumph over All Progressive Congress, or APC’s candidate, Sarki Hamidu, with a total of 13,240 votes and a margin of 5,607 votes compared to 7,694 votes Hamidu got. He conveyed this victory dedicated to all the party’s leaders, NEC members, and NWC members. He also gave particular gratitude to the state governors and millions of other party members around the country.
“What we have just achieved in Abuja, the seat of power, will be replicated in Ekiti and Osun states later this year, culminating in our takeover of power at the centre next year, to usher in a better, more prosperous and secure Nigeria.”
Sabo himself also expressed his appreciation to the EVAK members for the support and cooperation he has received throughout this election journey.
