Responding to Peoples Democratic Party or PDP’s candidate, Suleman Sabo’s victory based on the Federal Capital Territory Council Polls, Dr Iyorcha Ayu, the PDP National Chairman, believes in a better Nigeria.

As the counting result of the Independent National Electoral Commission announced on Sunday morning, Sabo has attained the chairmanship triumph over All Progressive Congress, or APC’s candidate, Sarki Hamidu, with a total of 13,240 votes and a margin of 5,607 votes compared to 7,694 votes Hamidu got. The result officially states Sabo will now serve his second term as chairman in the Kuje Council Area office.

“This victory, which gave us the important Abuja Municipal Area Council, (AMAC), is a signal that Nigerians are tired of the woes and hardship of the moment, occasioned by the worsening socio-economic realities of today.” Dr Ayu reacted to this occasion through his media statement.

He conveyed this victory dedicated to all the party’s leaders, NEC members, and NWC members. He also gave particular gratitude to the state governors and millions of other party members around the country.

“What we have just achieved in Abuja, the seat of power, will be replicated in Ekiti and Osun states later this year, culminating in our takeover of power at the centre next year, to usher in a better, more prosperous and secure Nigeria.”

Sabo himself also expressed his appreciation to the EVAK members for the support and cooperation he has received throughout this election journey.
