2023: ’Peter Obi can’t win more than 3 states’ – Bwala

As the 2023 election approaches, a spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Daniel Bwala on Wednesday said Labour Party and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, “cannot win more than three states”.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Bwala who described the opposition party as a “social media political party”, aimed a jibe at its supporters for celebrating the endorsement of Obi by former president Olusegun Obasanjo.

“It is interesting that not long ago they were saying Arthur Eze has only one vote, but now they are saying OBJ has delivered victory them. This social media political party cannot win more than 3 states,” Bwala wrote on his verified Twitter handle.

Meanwhile, a recently conducted survey carried out by Market Trends International (MTI) on all presidential candidates in the 2023 election has placed Labour Party candidate ahead of Atiku Abubakar of the PDP, Bola Tinubu of All Progressives Congress (APC), and Rabiu Kwankwaso of New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), among others.

In a recent statement by the agency’s Executive Director, Victor Ebhomenye, the opinion survey conducted nationally in Nigeria, saw the former Anambra State governor having the highest favourable rating to be the next president with 44% of the respondents indicating they will vote for Obi in the upcoming presidential election.

According to the MTI boss, this has come as a surprise to Nigerians because the Labour party and Obi had no presence in Nigerian presidential scene as of December 2021.
