‘Juju lawyer’ attacks Wike for ditching Peter Obi, ‘working for’ Tinubu

A human rights lawyer who gained prominence by appearing at the Supreme Court like a traditional priest, Barrister Malcolm Omirhobo has criticised Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State for allegedly working for the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) who is the president-elect, Bola Tinubu.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Governor Wike had said that the decision of the presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi to contest the last presidential election prevented the North from retaining the presidency.

Contrary to insinuation that he did not support Obi, Wike said on Saturday that what most people failed to realise is that Obi remains his “hero of the 2023 presidential election”.

But responding to the governor’s remarks via a Twitter update on Sunday, Omirhobo said Wike should have given “capacity” greater consideration. The legal practitioner also tackled Wike for his “selfish interest”, adding that the Rivers governor ‘would not have employed a Bola Tinubu over a Peter Obi’.

“Wike it is not about Obi stopping the North, it is about capacity. I know you cannot employ BAT as your manager over and above Obi but you prefer BAT over and above Obi to be President of Nigeria for your selfish interest and self preservation. Too bad,” Omirhobo wrote.
