JUST IN: APC stakeholders raise N2.6m to purchase nomination form for party’s National Women Leader

Women stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have purchased the expression of interest and nomination forms for Mrs. Mary Alile-Idele, national women leader of the party.

The stakeholders said the gesture demonstrates their support for Alile-Idele ahead of the APC national convention.

The women stakeholders are drawn from the six geopolitical zones and the FCT under the platform of the Renewed Hope Women’s Network.

The stakeholders raised N2.6 million to purchase the forms for Alile-Idele, noting that the contribution reflects their confidence in her leadership.

The women presented the cheque to Alile-Idele at the APC national secretariat in Abuja, describing her as a mobiliser who has strengthened women’s participation in the party.

They said her leadership has expanded grassroots mobilisation and promoted the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu.

“As women party stakeholders from across the country, we believe strongly that leadership must be sustained where it is delivering results.

“Dr. Mary Alile-Idele has demonstrated capacity, commitment, and vision, and we are proud to stand firmly behind her,” the stakeholders said.

They said the APC women’s structure has become more coordinated and effective under Alile-Idele’s leadership, stressing that continuity in leadership would help consolidate the progress already made.

They said the anticipated return of the national women leader position to Edo aligns with the party’s commitment to fairness and inclusivity.

The women stakeholders pledged to continue mobilising women across the country in support of the APC.

The stakeholders also expressed confidence in Tinubu’s leadership and pledged to work towards securing his re-election in the 2027 presidential election.
