Police sources in Lagos have said the rumour that detectives are planning to arrest all the members of the Eze Ndigbo cabinet in Ajao Estate, is unfounded.
POLITICS NIGERIA learned that some members of the Eze Ndigbo cabinet had fled from Lagos, while others have gone into hiding in remote areas of Lagos.
It was gathered that their fear emanated from unsubstantiated information that detectives have been directed to arrest all the cabinet members of the Eze Ndigbo and other people featured in the controversial 49-second viral video of the embattled Eze Ndigbo of Ajao Estate in Lagos State, Frederick Nwajiagu.
Now-detained Nwajiagu threatened to invite the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to Lagos.
However, police sources have said the rumour that security agents will carry out a mass arrest, was untrue.
Vanguard quotes a source as saying: “Detectives are still on the matter but I doubt if the case will degenerate to carrying out the mass arrest.
“Whatever information we need, we are capable of getting it. So, there is no cause for alarm.”
