JUST IN: Truck Collides with Gas Tanker, Triggers Explosion in Lagos [VIDEO/PICS]

A gas explosion shook the Ajah axis of Lagos on Saturday, sparking a major fire that destroyed several properties.

The blast reportedly followed a collision between a truck and a gas tanker in the early hours of March 21.

Reacting to the incident on X, user Ayo-Bankole Akintujoye wrote, “There’s a massive gas explosion in the Ajah area of Lagos… Multiple properties have been affected, and the situation is severe.”

Officials from the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service confirmed the incident to reporters.

According to the Director of Public Affairs, Amodu Shakiru, the fire had been extinguished by the time of reporting, and further details about the incident would be released later.
