“Kwankwasiyya gathering in Kano shook APC leaders“- NNPP stalwart

Folashade Aliu, the 2023 National Campaign Secretary for the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has said that the gathering of the members of the Kwankwasiyya Movement is highly relevant in every political sense.

Aliu who appeared as a guest on Arise Television’s Prime Time Show said the leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress have been traumatised from the event which took place in Kano over the weekend.

According to Aliu, the crowd was not rented as claimed by many and everyone who was present at the gathering strongly believes in the ideology of the leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Rabiu Kwankwaso.

“They know that it is very very highly relevant politically, they know. Over the years, this is the tenth anniversary of this gathering, which happens every year and they know the power of the people at this gathering.

“So, it’s obvious, you look at the gathering and you see that crowd and that crowd is not rented because you see all of them with our white and red. These are not school children and I can tell you that 90 per cent of the people you see there are foot soldiers, they are people who believe in the ideology of the Kwankwasiyya and wherever our national leader is going,” Aliu said.

She also stated that the ruling party, its members and leaders were shaken over the calibre of personalities who joined Kwankwaso at the gathering.

“So if somewhere says, without even asking them and they are trying to downplay what is there, that means that shook them, in addition to the personalities that were present there,” she said.

Speaking on the party and movement’s plan for the 2027 election and a possible alignment with Peter Obi and the Obidient Movement, Aliu said the will of the people will prevail.

She further described Kwankwaso as a politician who is known for always acting and making decisions in the interest of the people.

“So, because some of them will say what’s the next thing for Kwankwaso and how is it going to go.

“It’s the power of the people, let me tell you, the power of the people is beyond anything. And when the people support you, anything can happen, for good. Because they know that when you are treated well, they are also treated well and they know that when you go out there, you go out for them. It is in their interest,” she added.
