Former presidential spokesperson Reno Omokri has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of putting the lives of Nigerians at a risk to protect his family members.
This is coming at a time when Nigeria has recorded forty cases of the coronavirus pandemic, with two deaths and two recoveries.
According to Omokri, President Buhari deliberately refused to restrict international flights because his daughter and his Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, were abroad.
“Even when @Atiku knew his son was abroad, he called for closing down Nigeria’s borders. That is LEADERSHIP. General @MBuhari didn’t restrict flights UNTIL his daughter and Abba Kyari returned. He deliberately risked the health of Nigerians to protect his family!” He posted on Twitter on Tuesday morning.

POLITICS NIGERIA earlier reported that Kyari, who came in from Germany last week, tested positive for the virus on Tuesday. Also, Buhari’s daughter has been isolation after returning from the United Kingdom four days ago.
This paper recalls that, although Nigerians had demanded the closure of all international airports and land borders since the discovery of the index Covid-19 case, the President did not announce the restrictions until last week.
