Wike reveals how FCT’s N2bn palliative will be spent

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has confirmed the receipt of N2 billion from the federal government as palliative for the fuel subsidy removal.

Speaking after a meeting with contractors at his office on Monday, Wike said that the N2 billion palliative will be used to solve transportation challenges in the city.

He declared that although the federal government is looking to increase funding for projects, the FCT Administration will also consider its internally generated revenue.

Wike also warned that there would be no room for excuses from contractors handling various projects in the FCT.
