JUST IN: Nasarawa Deputy Speaker Involved in Severe Car Accident

The Deputy Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Muhammad Adamu Oyanki, has survived a serious road accident that occurred along the Keffi–Akwanga highway on Monday.
The incident has raised concern among political stakeholders in the state, especially given the extent of damage seen in images circulating shortly after the crash.
The vehicle involved in the accident was said to be severely wrecked, suggesting the impact was significant.
The damaged vehicle was later moved from the scene and taken to the Assembly complex in Lafia. Lawmakers and officials gathered at the complex to assess the situation and get updates on the Deputy Speaker’s condition.
The Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Dr. Danladi Jatau, led a delegation of lawmakers to inspect the vehicle. He expressed relief that the accident did not result in any loss of life.
“We thank Almighty God for saving the life of the Deputy Speaker from the auto crash. We are grateful that he is alive and safe,” he said.
Sources within the Assembly indicated that the Deputy Speaker is stable and receiving attention, although further details about possible injuries have not been made public.
As of the time of filing this report, the exact cause of the accident remains unclear. Authorities have yet to release an official statement explaining what led to the crash. There is also no confirmation on whether other individuals were involved or affected.
