The Chairman of the Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Mai Mala Buni met with the Governor of Kaduna state, Nasir El-rufai in Aso-rock on Thursday night.
POLITICS NIGERIA recalls that President Muhammadu Buhari summoned the founding fathers of the party to a dinner last night which had in attendance both men, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Chief Bisi Akande, SGF Boss Mustapha, Rochas Okorocha amongst others.
Some weeks back, El-rufai made headlines after he openly chastised Buni during an interview on channels and accused him of planning to scuttle the party’s convention. The fiery Kaduna Governor expressed support for Sani Bello, who by then, had taken over the party’s national secretariat.
However, President Buhari intervened in the matter and reinstated Buni who was out of the country for medical reasons. El-rufai and Buni met and exchanged pleasantries which is a possible indication that both mean have possible resolved their problems.
