Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has sent a consolation message to Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, over the death of his mother, Fatimah Umar Badami.
POLITICS NIGERIA reported that Mrs Badami died at the age of 68 on Wednesday after battling with a protracted sickness.
She died at the Federal Medical Centre, Yola. Before now, the governor lost his father at the age of 82.
In his reaction on Twitter, Mr Abubakar said: “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. I have spoken to Gov Ahmadu Fintiri and expressed my condolences and that of my family over the loss of his dear mother, Hajiya Fatimah Umaru.
“I pray that Allah will forgive her sins and grant her Aljannah Firdaus. Ameen. -AA”
