The number of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members asking Iyorchia Ayu to resign as the party’s National Chairman, has reportedly increased rapidly.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that this was as many stakeholders across the different categories of leadership in the PDP considered the constant castigation of the Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, as dangerous to their collective interest if not properly addressed.
According to sources, at the last count, of the 13 PDP governors, eight had agreed to the demand that Ayu should go. However, the governors of Taraba, Edo, Sokoto, Bayelsa, Benue, and Delta states continue to back Ayu’s continuation as national chairman.
Furthermore, a source said that of the 17 governorship candidates of the party, 12 had also bought into the idea (of Ayu resigning). They realised Wike’s hard stance could harm their own election in 2023.
Similarly, this newspaper learned that former Senate Presidents under the PDP platform, except one, had agreed to the position that Ayu should leave as a sacrifice for the party. They believed, however, the situation could have been better managed.
WITH AYU AS A CHAIRMAN, PDP CAN NOT GET ANY VOTE FROM THE SOUTHWEST COS, THEY HAVE NOTHING TO CAMPAIGN WITH AND THE WHOLE SOUTH EAST IF CARE WAS NOT TAKEN. LET HIM LEAVE HIS STRUCTURE AND STEP DOWN.
To hell with the PDP,…a bunch of wild dogs; only taking care of their individual interests and not their followers. A win for Obi in the South South, South East and the Middle Belt will spell disaster for them Greedy Atiku will then lick his own wounds.
How greedy do you think atiku is??? I don’t understand how we Nigerians will always try to discredit a person in the name of sentiment. You are saying to hell with PDP but the previous development before the APC government came into Power was thanks to the PDP government. We trusted and voted APC government only to end up with more corruption, more insecurities, education being taken as child play, health sector in more shambles. Please if you have a solid reason for discrediting Atiku Abubakar as the presidential candidate for the PDP then please state them out. I hate underground hate!!!!!

I hate his actions and that of Tambuwal towards the linching of Deborah Samuel. That is my point and that of all who say that they are Christians.

Obi still have substantial number of vote in Heavily populated Christians areas such as Kaduna South, Nassarawa, Taraba, Lagos, Oyo, Ekiti, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Abuja, Gombe, and Adamawa. The body language of Dogara and Co in recent times lean towards Obi.

The crisis rocking PDP & APC are not ordinary. Its the handwork of the lord. They are not under Gods agenda.
But when you look at Labour Party, you will see hope, truth, peace, joy, progress, enlargement, unity, selfless services , this is an indication of Gods agenda for this nation. OBI-DATTI MOVEMENT is a strong force, and gate of hell (APC & PDP) cannot and can never prevail against it.
Atiku is the foundational cause of PDP crisis,in 2015,him and his caucus;tambuwa,saraki and others left the convention ground because they said it is the turn of the northerners to be president… now when it is the turn of the Southerners to be president he refused, find his way in through Ayu.. infact, Atiku and Ayu should step down….
Ayu should quietly resign in order to maintain his dignity as a party pioneer and safe the reputation of PDP as a party.
