Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has unveiled the list of commissioners and their respective portfolios.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that on Friday, a total of 16 individuals who had received clearance from the State House of Assembly were sworn in during a ceremony held at the Banquet Hall of the Government House in Umuahia.
However, the Governor mentioned that three additional appointees who are awaiting clearance will be sworn in next week.
The pending appointees include Mike Akpara, who is currently undergoing medical treatment abroad, Ngozi Blessing Felix, and Ikechukwu Monday, who has recently returned from overseas.

- Chaka Chukwumereije – Lands & Survey
- Uzo Nwachukwu – Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs
- Prof Joel Friday Ogbonna – Petroleum and Mineral Resources
Chima Emmanuel Oriaku – Science and Technology - Nwaobilor Nwadimma Ananaba- Sports
