A baby has been trapped in the rubble of a one-storey building which collapsed in Lagos State on Friday morning.
The sad incident took place in Ebute-metta area of Lagos State on Friday, December 22.
The Director of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Margaret Adeseye, in a statement, confirmed that a baby and two adults were trapped in the rubble.
Politics Nigeria understands that rescue efforts are ongoing with the search team working tirelessly to locate and extricate the remaining family members.
One adult female has already been rescued alive and is in stable condition, offering a glimmer of hope amidst the tragedy, she added.
The State Emergency Response Unit is fully activated and working alongside the Fire and Rescue Service to coordinate the operation.
