The Coordinator of the Muhammadu Buhari Campaign Organisation, Danladi Garba Pasali, is dead, POLITICS NIGERIA reports.
Pasali died at a hospital in Abuja on Tuesday afternoon after a protracted illness.
Ali Pasali, younger brother of the deceased, confirmed his demise in Jos, Plateau State capital.
“Our brother Alhaji Danladi Garba Pasali, has just died in a private hospital in Abuja,” media reports quote Ali as saying.
Late Pasali was President Buhari’s chief campaigner, during the 2015 and 2019 general elections.
Two years ago, Pasali made the headlines when he called for the immediate prosecution of the sponsors of the RevolutionNow protest, saying Nigerians are wiser now and will never be allowed to be fooled by any group or people that did not mean well to the unity and peaceful co-existence of the nation.
Pasali said that the call for uprising and change of government using any other means not election is nothing but treason and should be treated as such by the security agencies.
Late Pasali was also untill his death the National Secretary of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association (IPMAN).
He is survived by one wife and several children.
