Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state has announced that he and his wife have tested positive for COVID-19.

In a tweet on Wednesday via his verified Twitter handle, the governor said he got his result after his daughter tested positive for the dreaded virus last week.

He added that his family is continuing with isolation/medication and assured Deltans that he will be back very soon to continue governance. He wrote:

“My wife and I have tested positive for COVID-19. We are well and continuing with our isolation/medication. We thank you all for your continued prayers for us and our daughter.”

Recall that Okowa had announced that one of his children has been diagnosed with the deadly COVID-19 virus.

Okowa, in a statement via Twitter last week Friday, disclosed that his daughter, Edith tested positive for the virus. He wrote;

“Earlier today, Edith and I received the news that one of our daughters has tested positive for #COVID19. Hence, in-line with the laid out procedures, we are both going into isolation for the next 14-days.”

  1. That is the evidence that they did not have the holy spirit. The Holy spirit is a guarantee that we belong to Jesus Christ and those who belong to Christ are not touched by any diseases. The scripture is clear as the whole of Psalms talked about the fact that God preserves us from every harm. I tell you the truth , it is difficult to find Christians( those with spirit of Christ around the world toady, not mere boasting of being Christians when there is no confirmation. I think those with mature mind will understand this.
