BREAKING: DSS Takes Over SERAP’s Office in Abuja

Men from the Department of State Services (DSS) have stormed the Abuja office of the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP).

Upon arrival at the office, DSS officers demanded to see the directors of the organization.

The rights group took to social media to condemn the invasion, calling on President Tinubu to intervene.

“Officers from Nigeria’s State Security Service (SSS) are presently unlawfully occupying SERAP’s office in Abuja, asking to see our directors,” SERAP tweeted. “President Tinubu must immediately direct the SSS to end the harassment, intimidation, and attack on the rights of Nigerians.”

This latest incident comes on the heels of the arrest of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) President Joe Ajaero by DSS operatives at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

Ajaero was about to board a flight to the United Kingdom for an official assignment when he was detained.
