The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shuaibu has also resigned from the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Shuaibu’s decision is coming shortly after his boss, Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki announced his resignation from the Party on Tuesday morning.
Obaseki announced his departure after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari. It will be recalled that Obaseki was disqualified from contesting the party’s gubernatorial primaries scheduled for June 22nd.
His disqualification also affects Shuaibu as both men will not be able to contest for re-election on the platform of the APC. Both men are expected to join the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP soon.
