BREAKING: England beats Nigeria’s Super Falcons, progresses to quarter finals of the Women’s World Cup

Nigeria Super Falcons put up a thrilling performance against a star-studded England female team in the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup hosted by Australia and New Zealand.

The match ended in a stalemate as both teams created chances but failed to find the back of the net in historical 120 minutes encounter.

England’s star player, Lauren James, got a red card after stamping on Michelle Alozie’s back in a senseless act of malice.

After James’ red card, the Super Falcons tried to create more goal-scoring chances but failed to find the back of the net with Asisat Oshoala managing to get shots on target.

The game proceeded to penalty shootout and the Nigerian players couldn’t convert their chances as they lost 4-2.
