BREAKING: Ex-lawmaker and founding member leaves APC [PHOTO]

A two-term member of the House of Representatives, Bassa/Jos North Federal constituency of Plateau State, Suleiman Yahaya-Kwande, has dumped the ruling party All Progressives Congress (APC).

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Kwande’s destination is not yet known.

The lawmaker has been part of the APC since its inception in 2013.

In a letter addressed to his Ward Chairman, Yahaya-Kwande said he felt like an outcast in the APC.

He also wished the presidential candidate of the APC, Bola Tinubu, well in the 2023 election.

Yahaya-Kwande had been tipped to be picked as the running mate to the Plateau state governorship candidate of the APC, MNentawe Yilwatda, only to be snubbed for Pam Botmang last week.

In a piece of related news, the Plateau state chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), has declared that Tinubu would not enjoy its support come 2023.

The State chairman of Plateau state CAN, Reverend Father Polycarb Lubo said the decision to run the Muslim/Muslim ticket depicted the insensitivity of the party and its presidential candidate to the Christians in the North and the entire country.

According to Father Lubo, the arrangement cannot unite Nigeria.

  1. THIS IS WEEDING TO BETTER THE LOT AND STANDING OF THE PARTY FOR VICTORY AT THE PRESIDENTIAL POLLS IN 2023.

FALSE characters are beginning to get the booth and feel unsafe in the face of UNMATCHED maneuvers. They cannot catch up with the moving train, therefore had to be let off.

I THINK ALL THESE SHEDDINGS ARE GOOD OMENS FOR THE APC. WE NOW KNOW WHO IS REAL AND WHO THE FAKE MEMBERS ARE.

    It is good riddance.
