Information reaching POLITICS NIGERIA reveals that the Governor of Borno State, Babagana Zulum was attacked by unknown gunmen in Baga area of the state.
The convoy of the governor experienced was on his way to meet some internally displaced persons (IDP) camps in the northern part of Borno when the attack occurred on Wednesday.
It was gathered that no one was injured in the attack.
UPDATE
One of the Governor’s aides, Mohammed Mai Bukar has confirmed the incident via a post on Facebook;
“To Our Concerned citizens H.E Prof.Zulum and His Entourage are all fine and there was (were) no casualties. Thanks!”
This is the second known attack on Zulum’s Convoy within a year.

To be Franck with you people here, what happened must have a tied connection with those that know fully about the movements of the governor. If it’s not so, I have this to debrief people out there and has it this way that how did those people attributed to gunmen have access to the road leading him to the IDP’s camp and how did they know about his trip?
Whether or not, the problem of insecurity is within us, the government to be precise. They’re on the payroll. Gunmen, armed bandits whatever gangs of criminals is called, are not ghost but human, human just like you and i. They’re known and well aware of to some but to us not well known. With this enough, I want to call upon the government and us the lead. I have previously mentioned government first because, there’s need for them to do more in dealing with the matter. I have further stated us the lead because we too have a significant role to play that’s with prayers for the matter with government is getting out of hand, so we need to help them with prayers so God expose to us people threatening the innocent people.
