The acting Inspector-General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun, is presently meeting with commanders from the 79 Police Mobile Force squadrons.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the meeting is taking place at the Force Headquarters, also known as Louis Edet House, in Abuja.
Attending the meeting alongside Egbetokun are the six Deputy Inspectors-General of Police who represent the various geopolitical zones across the country within the Police Management Team. Additionally, several Assistant Inspectors-General of Police have also joined the gathering.
The Inspector-General arrived at the meeting punctually at 03:10 pm. However, the meeting experienced a two-hour delay, as it was initially scheduled for 01:00 pm.
While specific details regarding the meeting remain undisclosed, a statement released by the Force Public Relations Officer on Sunday emphasized that Egbetokun’s vision and determination to secure the country were driving the discussions.
