The Residence of the Immediate Past Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode was reportedly raided by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC in Epe.
POLITICS NIGERIA gathered that officials of the anti-corruption agency stormed Ambode’s Epe Residence on Tuesday morning.
The residence of the former governor’s chief of staff in the same Epe neighbourhood was also raided.
Billions of naira were allegedly misappropriated in the four years of Mr Ambode in office, and detectives have been working round the clock to gather evidence on the fraud.
Residents were not allowed to move closer to the scene nor intervene.
