The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) will jointly hold a press briefing at 3 p.m. today to declare a nationwide indefinite strike.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the decision to embark on the strike was taken after the two labour centres resolved their differences and agreed on a common front.
The NLC had earlier embarked on a two-day warning strike on September 5 and 6 to protest the removal of fuel subsidy by the Federal Government.
The TUC did not participate in the warning strike but has now joined the NLC in declaring an indefinite strike.
The NLC and TUC are demanding that the Federal Government address other socioeconomic hardships facing Nigerians.
