    1. This is the right spirit of leadership quality which we had expected all along instead of fighting a sitting government for the collective problems created by successive governments ruling on corruption based administration. All past and present leaders and well meaning people should make meaningful objective suggestion on how we can leave peaceful .l

      1. Only past leaders can say the truth of hapenings in nigeria today.
Present government has created hatredness, anger, distructions, killings and the worst of all protecting terrorists of their natives because they are in governance without thinking of the implications of theur injustics

    2. Yes, I agree with you. This is what Buhari should have been doing to restore peace and harmony in the country.

  1. Fulani herdsmen in south west must obey the traditional law of the region otherwise should all be expelled in the region. The South west which include Kwara and Kogi should never be given an inch of land for the so call RUGA .a Plan initiated by Buhari to grab hectres of land to Fulani to grazing their herds across Nigeria but Nigerians resisted Buhari RUGA move, So therefore Any Fulani herdsmen who fail to leave peacefully with her host in southwest region which include Kwara and Kogi should be sent parking immediately to where they come from The Southwest land always belongs to the Yoruba ,and any other people living in the region were visitors. Yoruba kindness and openness should never be taken for granted .

    1. May God bless you . Good talk. In addition, Yoruba should prepare for repell jihadist invasion and terrorists attack. Also some of
them changing their names and learning Yoruba language to occupy position of power.

  2. This is a very positive and qualitative approach. As a typical Yitubs elder, Obasanjo knows and affirms the belief that “Omo jna ni a a ran si INA” and that ,” Ebe laa be osika….” May God continue to be with him and Nigeria.

  3. Only a fool will believe that Yinka Odumakin, a publicity seeking paid agent of doom, was kidnapped. He rushes to the press to dish out FAKE news, without checking the facts. Now he’s with one of his bosses, both of them have the same personality. After Obasanjo has poured petrol on he Fulani situation and nearly sets on fire, he now wants to claim credit for intervaining. If he had done this in the beginning, people could’ve given him much credit. But all in an attempt to distroy the president, he and his cohorts went wild and brought disunity among Nigerians. This is just crying after the head is off. This is the tactics he planned to pursue from the beginning. Nearly all these crimes started during his administrations, both military and civilian,. What did he do to stop it?. It continued during his PDP successor administration, what help did he render?. He has behaved recklessly in handling this situation from the beginning. He couldn’t bring a credible ally, he brought a pathetic LIAR, YInka Odumakin. That says it all. Both of them are preaching disunity and xenophobia in the country. Rational Nigerians should not believe their carefully crafted shit they’re selling them.

    1. Samuel James, of all the comments so far on the Obasanjo meeting with the Fulani’s, yours reply is different and not encouraging. Others were commending and sighting sings of good spirit in the idea. If you have personal hatred for him Obasanjo,it could better be addressed to his personal Box and not through this public media

  4. This is nothing more than a photo-ops for Obasanjo. The always wants to be in the news because he thinks he’s the only intelligent elder in Nigeria. He was in leadership role for so many years and swindled the oil sector and the central bank. In the end he accomplished nothing. Obasanjo is a local champion and a complete loser. The man should step aside and retire to the basement of his mansion built out of corrupt funds that belongs to be people of Nigeria. His meeting with this fulani terrorists would not amount to anything. A round table conference is not in the repertoire of the fulanis. They only understand the language of force. These are uneducated cattle guys who lives nomadic life, lacks basic hygiene, deficate in public and plunders the environments. Nigeria can put a stop to their madness and terrorism by boycotting cow meet.

  5. I think Obasanjo in this meeting is a step in the right direction. However, such effort is null and void if the core issues of Nigeria are not effectively addressed with utmost urgency. Such issues are many among which are electrification, health care, education with relevance, and unemployment. Any convocation without addressing and acting upon these core issues is mere exercise ln futile construct.

    1. Emman Emman, your response is nice, good to reason with, but an adage in Yoruba says” if Wood fell on wood (to create a passage) you need to remove the topmost . Emman Emman , Insecurity is ranking topmost in the Problems in Nigeria now, Please it should be addressed first, other issues can latter follow.

  6. Uhmm…uhmm. Former President Obasanjo likes to work on some people’s brains, talking secretly to their Recticular Acticulated System. (RAS). Unfortunately for him, he gets bash as soon he planned a “coup”. Understandable, he wants to show us that he is very much around. We all know his stand and attributes. What response did he get back from the group and how effective would the talk be in few hours of the so-called “Reconciliation or warning”?

  7. My regard to the leadership of our dear state man Hon Olusegun Obasanjo. The fact to this matter is the Fulanisation of Nigeria is a long time invention of the Northernmost Fulani group that are trying to islamization the entire country.
The Southern Nigeria indigenous tribe are busy fighting for.a crumb of the National economy while the North are looking into eating the whole national cake . The Igbos and the Yorubas did need to form alliances about having a Strong Southern defense system. In a short word you need an army well trained to defend yourself. The North are marching to the South well armed with AK-47. You cannot fight that war with a Bible. The Saudis are behind this National problem because they want to islaminise the most populous country in Africa. Thanks Mr President for your leadership.

  8. Samuel and Buch, I am disappointed that you don’t see the so-called herdsmen as the assault pioneers of a bigger Fulani attack which Obasanjo forward about.

  9. Olusegun Obasanjo- the most reoccuring decimal in the Nigerian political firmament since 1969. Long may you live for Nigeria & Nigerian.

  10. What should you expect than a retaliation to the nation’s total rejection of the RUGA project.. Little wonder that the will to curb the menace of wanton destruction by the herdsmen is missing in appropriate quarters. Thanks to an elder stateman like Obasanjo standing in the gab for peace and tranquillity to reign. God bless you sir! Other elders of our nation-Nigeria should learn from this.

  11. TO ALL GOOD PEOPLE OF NIGERIA. WHAT IS HAPPENING NOW SHOULD TEACH US TO BEGIN TO REDISCOVER WHO WE ARE AS A PEOPLE.
NIGERIANS ARE FEW DIFFERENT COUNTRIES FORCED TO LIVE TOGETHER AS A COUNTRY. AS SUCH: WE SHOULD BE LOOKING AT REGIONAL GOVERNANCE. WHERE A UNITED NIGERIA STILL STANDS. ALLOW PEOPLE TO MANAGE THEIR COW’S AND KEEP THE PROCEEDS. LIKEWISE ALLOW PEOPLE TO MANAGE THEIR COCOA PLANTATIONS WHILE PAYING TAXES TO THE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT.ALLOW PEOPLE TO DEVELOP AT THEIR OWN PACE.SOME REGIONS ARE SLOWING DOWN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE WHOLE NIGERIANS. OUR IDEOLOGIES ARE DIFFERENT WE ARE DIFFERENT PEOPLE ALTOGETHER.

  12. This trouble that was caused by the wicked British in 1914 can only be solved by GOD Almighty. We were never created to be together. The fulanis right from creation were meant to be in the bush with the animals. But very soon the sheep will be separated from the goats. GOD is already physically in this zoo called nigeria topay everybody accordingly.. No human can solve this problem.

  13. Kudos to former President Olusegun Obasanjo for playing the role of a good elder statesman. Let others especially the President Mohammadu Buhari, Governors, Senators, Traditional rulers and others who are well placed but not specifically mentioned join in the search for and maintenance of peace and security in Nigeria.
