Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has submitted his governorship expression of interest and nomination forms at the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The governor arrived at the secretariat at about 12.28 pm and was welcomed by the National Organising Secretary of the party, Emma Ibediro, who led the governor into his office to submit the forms.
Accompanied by his supporters who filled the air with the shouts of “4+4”, Obaseki waved to them before entering Ibediro’s office alongside his close aides to meet the party’s requirement.
Based on the party’s practice, an aspirant must either obtain nomination forms by himself or submit them personally. A group known as Obaseki Mandate Group last week bought the forms for the Edo Governor.
