BREAKING: Peter Obi rejects tribunal’s verdict, heads to Supreme Court

Peter Obi has joined Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in rejecting the Presidential Election Petitions Court (PEPC) verdict.

The Labour Party (LP) candidate in the 2023 presidential election said he is heading to the Supreme Court to challenge the ruling by the PEPC.

The PEPC affirmed President Bola Tinubu’s electoral victory in the 2023 presidential contest on Wednesday.

Addressing journalists on Thursday evening in Onitsha, Anambra state, Obi said he had instructed his lawyers to do the needful and appeal the judgement of PEPC at the Supreme Court of Nigeria according to the provisions of the 1999 Constitution (as amended).

His press briefing was held after a similar one by Atiku in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, earlier today.
