The Aku Uka of Wukari, Dr Shekarau Angyu Masa-Ibi, is dead.
POLITICS NIGERIA learned that the ranking monarch and chairman of the Taraba State council of chiefs died in the early hours of Sunday.
The deceased ruler is the 27th Aku Uka of Kwararafa and the 13th since the creation of Wukari.
He was the Chancellor, Federal University Dutse before he became king in 1976 as a second class king but was later upgraded to a first-class status during his reign in 1982.
He was also a former chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri and holds two doctorate degrees.
He was aged 84.
