Governor Siminalayi Fubara has presented a budget proposal of about N800 billion to a 5-member Rivers State House of Assembly.
The governor arrived at the new assembly complex located at the government house at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
The assembly is under the leadership of Speaker Rt. Hon. Edison Ehie in the company of Secretary to the State Government, Tammy Danagogo, Finance Commissioner Isaac Kamalu, Information and Communications Commissioner Joseph Johnson, and other cabinet members.
The 2024 budget is christened “Budget of Renewed Hope, Consolidation, and Continuity”.
Recall that the State Executive Council, in its 5th sitting on Monday, approved the budget.
