The Senate has appealed to organised labour unions, including the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC), and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), to call off their ongoing strike in the spirit of patriotism and national interest.
The Senate also instructed its leadership, led by Senate President Akpabio, to schedule an immediate meeting with representatives of the unions to seek amicable resolutions to their demands.
