The presidential flagbearer of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2023 election, Bola Tinubu, is presently in Abeokuta, Ogun State, to meet with former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
POLITICS NIGERIA learnt that the meeting with Obasanjo is in continuation of Tinubu’s consultations with leaders across the country ahead of the 2023 general elections.
After his meeting with Obasanjo, Tinubu will address his supporters at the MKO Abiola International Stadium in Kuto.
This newspaper reports that during his recent visits to Ogun State, Tinubu didn’t visit Obasanjo, just as a planned meeting with the former President in May was subsequently postponed.
Both men were known to be political foes, which dated back to their days as President and Lagos State Governor.
While Tinubu is a frontline presidential candidate, Obasanjo has left partisan politics.
