The Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom has stated openly that he will never support the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
Ortom’s anger was due to the killing of Benue people by suspected Fulani Herdsmen.
Governor Ortom stated this on Sunday night, November 6, when he hosted Nyesom Wike of Rivers state, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia state, Seyi Makinde of Oyo and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu state in Government House, Makurdi.
The four governors were in the state ahead of the flag-off of PDP election campaigns for the 2023 general election in addition to the commissioning of some initiatives completed by Governor Ortom in Makurdi .
Ortom who lamented the killing of 18 people in his Local government last week, said; “To hell with Atiku and anyone supporting him. They should go and tell him. You want me to be slave for a Fulani. It’s better I die. Anybody supporting Atiku is an enemy of Benue.”
“My people are being killed and you want me to be quiet.”
“My tenure ends in May and you can do what ever you want if you think you have the powers. I have written my will. When I gave it to my wife, she cried all night.”
“If I die at 62, many of my mates have gone long time ago and If I die today, I’m a fulfilled person but let it be recorded that I died resisting the invasion and killing of my people.”
“I will never support a Fulani man to become president. If there is another person who is ready to work with me and ensure the security of my people, I will work with him,” Ortom said.
I can’t as a person from Benue State vote for a Fulani candidate such as Atiku because of his actions and inactions especially that he has the same pedigree as Buhari who thought Benue would/ should be wiped out for his edged on genocidal/ethnic cleansing tribe to take over our ancestral land. Every tribe in Nigeria existed long before the Fulanis come in in the 1800s.”To hell with Atiku “‘ is spot on.

Very good. It’s an insult for atiku to want to replace another fulani man in a country of more than 200 tribes. Fulanis just want power by all means at all cost.. Can u imagine that fulanis are the religious ( not traditional monarchs ) in all Hausa land. Why are the Hausas keeping quiet. Recover ur thrones and kingdoms and enthrone the Sarkis which they used their blood suckling religion to steal from u. Reonvert to other faiths and leave their Islam (which they forcefully converted u) for them. Hausa are the most loving, most peaceful people. Stop allowing the fulanis to use u as cannon fodders.
