Buhari told to make NDLEA boss, Buba Marwa Minister of Defence

Adamu Garba, a former presidential aspirant and chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja, on Tuesday said it is time for the Muhammadu Buhari administration to “promote” the Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Buba Marwa, to Nigeria’s Minister of Defence.

POLITICS NIGERIA had reported how the NDLEA effected the largest cocaine seizure in the country’s history.

The agency on Monday announced the “highest cocaine seizure” worth over 278 million dollars and arrest of drug barons including a foreigner in a major operation lasting two days across different locations in Lagos State.

The development has elicited praise for the NDLEA boss, Marwa — even from critics of the Buhari administration.

“Just imagine General Buba Marwa is the Minister of Defence? He would have succeeded in dismantling all the enemies of the country.

“I think it is high time he is promoted to the exalted office. Nigerians needs more of his services,” Garba wrote on his verified Twitter handle.
