CNN Interview: Again, Peter Obi mocks Tinubu over “Emilokan” comment [WATCH]

The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, on Friday said that the 2023 poll is not based on ethnicity or religion, hence it is nobody’s turn.

Speaking in an interview with CNN, monitored by POLITICS NIGERIA, Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, said comments of “it is my turn” (apparently referring to the popular ‘Emi Lokan’ phrase made by Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), “is elite conspiracy to keep Nigeria under-developed”.

Obi stated that Nigerians are not satisfied with the state of the country.

“All you hear about the ethnicity, religion, connections, ‘my turn’, is elite conspiracy to keep Nigeria underdeveloped,” Obi said.

“But now, we’ve reached the edge, we can no longer continue this way.”

This is the second time in one week that Obi will take a swipe at Tinubu over his ‘Emi Lokan’ statement.

Speaking at the Labour Party Leadership Retreat in Abuja on Monday, the Labour Party presidential flag-bearer insisted that the coming election is about character and competence.
