The Presidency has reacted to the report that the chairman of Daar Communications, owners of AIT television and Raypower Fm, Raymond Dokpesi Jnr, tested positive for Coronavirus.
This newspaper reported how the chairman in a message to the staff of AIT on Monday announced his test results.
“I got a call this morning confirming the result is COVID-19 positive. I am leaving now to the Gwagwalada Isolation Centre for treatment and hope to be back in two weeks”, he was quoted.
He also ordered those that have met with him in the last couple of weeks to go for tests.
Reacting to this development, Garba Shehu, the spokesperson to President Muhammadu Buhari, took to Twitter to wish Mr Dokpesi a fast recovery.
He wrote: “May Allah in His mercy cure the Chairman of DAAR Communications, Chief Raymond Dokpesi Jnr. of the Coronavirus Disease. May peace reign in his home while he is away on treatment.”
