Nigerian socialite Sam Larry has broken his silence after being accused of having a hand in the death of late Afrobeat singer Mohbad.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Larry, a close friend of Naira Marley, had deactivated his Instagram account after Mohbad’s death, but he returned to social media on Tuesday to issue a stern warning to people not to use his name for trending purposes.
The allegations against Larry stem from a series of videos that have surfaced on the internet showing him assaulting Mohbad on several occasions.
In one video, Larry is seen storming a music video shoot where Mohbad is filming with Zlatan Ibile. Larry and his men confront Mohbad, and Larry can be seen attempting to hit the singer.
Another video shows Larry and Zinoleesky bullying and attacking DJ Tuzo for playing Seyi Vibez’s music in a club while Zinoleesky was present.
The allegations against Larry have sparked outrage on social media, with many people calling for his arrest. However, Larry has denied any involvement in Mohbad’s death.
The police are currently investigating Mohbad’s death.
