Ekweremadu Attack: Nnamdi Kanu reacts to German Govt’s refusal to arrest IPOB members

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has spoken on the German Government’s refusal to arrest some members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB over the attack on Former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu.

Ekweremadu was beaten and almost stripped by IPOB members at an event organized by Ndi-Igbo Germany in Nurenberg, Germany last weekend.

On Tuesday, Kanu tweeted;

“The popular revolt against Ekweremadu has been ruled non-criminal by German govt, yet Fulani apologists (both APC & PDP) are still blinded to the gathering storm that will soon envelop them.”

“It’s no longer about #IPOB alone; it’s about the long-suffering masses of Nigeria.”

  1. President Buhari is doing what he knows is best but nigerians are complaining about the cabal in his govt . Nigeria shall be free.

    1. My dear I disagree with you because he appointed the cabals and if he can’t remove them or force them to resigned means he is a stooge that is influenced by the cabals.

  2. Buhari as a President is a criminal.what did biafra do to him.thats makes him to killed biafrans with fulani hesmen in that zoo called Nigeria

  3. During Jonathan administration u igbos are not active with ur biafra agitations because things went your way. Forgetting that this country Nigeria was worse then and all these herdsman, banditry, as well as kidnappings started before Jonathan, during and continued till now.
We all need to be sincere. We all need to check ourselves before condemning others.

    1. Adewole, is like you are a new person to Nigerian politics and Biafra issue.
Let me brief you a little Biafra was declared a republic in 1967, and since then they have been agitation for Biafra even during military regimes and also obasanjos civilian government may be those governments know how to play the politics of Nigeria.

    2. Now things are going your way, why are you mumuring? I can see you are still sleeping Ade. When you wake up let us know.

    3. I know that you are talking from one side of your mouth. You don’t come in detail to talk about the history of this Nigeria as a nation of criminals. If i may ask, what was the cause of the civil war in 1967-1970? If you can’t truly find the answer, don’t bother to wrack your head to find an answer to my question. If you know what caused the war, it’s that time you will be able to know where the problem of Nigeria started from and why we shouldn’t be together to be called a nation anymore, tnk u.

    4. Its not about North orn South. Its about people that have refused to find solution to known problems only to shield themselves with police and military men. They attacked an Ibo man so, its not about Jonathan or Buhari. We have been taken for granted for long. Each time the phone rings, your thought is that your family and friends are abiut to ask for help that should have been the responsibility of the government to ensure such is in place.

    5. Why cant you guyz be neutral and real for once? Igbos doesn’t trust you, urhobo, ijaw, and all the minorities sees you guyz the same way, Hausas are well trained when it comes to killing and silencing any of your Heroes that wants to rise up against their evil deeds. And you still got time to play betrayal and rolacoster games

    6. I think u ‘re far from reality…Hw could a normal person will justify today’s killing as normal…on d issue of Biafra started during OBJ if u ‘re still in ur ursery age

  4. They thought western countries are mumu like them, here is a place where people’s protest are respected.
They should be hiding their faces in shame and sincerely if they are working for the masses as they claimed, why not resigned?

    1. That was no ordinary protest. Ekweremadu was assaulted and that’s a crime. I don’t much about the law in Germany but here in the US, it’s a prosecutable offence. This was a man who was instrumental to the freedom kanu now enjoys and i don’t think this is a decent way to show appreciation. I think this action will further polarise the igbos both within Nigeria and beyond and make the struggle harder.

      1. In the first place, what’s law and appreciation you’re talking about? One whose parents were doubled up to a a prison van and whisked away like an ordinary criminals and later, those who were involved in the act, came back to tell you how much they love you. If you were this fellow, would you as a person believe and accept that they are your friends how much more your lovers?

      2. That is true in the US who allows people to Express themselves. Can Ike move freely in Nigeria the way he did in Germany? If not why

  5. They know how the system works in the civilised world, they thought that every thing is arrest like police and DSS.
There is what we call peaceful demonstration it is your duty as a servant leader to answer our questions whenever we asked. Is your duty to speak on behalf or us.
Nigeria is a country with jungle justice without any respect of for human right, or rule of law.
That is why there is no separation of powers Nigeria, the Executive controls the legislature and the judiciary without studying about what Àustin Raney said about separation of power. Even Rule of Law they don’t know about Monetesques principles of rule of law.

  6. Nigeria and her Ruling power are nothing but a disgrace to the world…
Buhari is a foolish Idiot who does not know his left from the right…
I thinkk the best thing is division and that is all…
IPOB did well to that foolish exsenator and i wish they should continue like that…

    1. IS EKWERMADU A FUNANI OR IGBO HOW CAN YOU AGITATE FOR A NATION BY FIGHTING YOURSELF. I WONDER THE KIND OF NATION WE WILL BE IN WITH PEOPLE WHO SEE NO WRONG IN DISTROYING THEIR OWN BROTHERS. SINCE OJUKWU DIED LEADERSHIP OF THE IGBO PEOPLE DIED WITH HIM. UWAZURIKE AND NNAMDI SORRY WE ARE ARE STILL FAR AND WE SHOULD PRAY TO GOD THAT BIAFRA SHOULD NOT BE IN THE HANDS OF SUCH PEOPLE.

  7. Nnwmdi Kalu is under a curse. He is a coward.
Ehen mandela was fighting a for his people, he did not run away. But this fugitive insults christian leaders, elders of the land, and christianity at large.
Whoever follows him is a fool

  9. Onyeso Anthony, the wisest person is the one who keeps quiet if he does not know what to say. Do not remind us the sage “if big brains are to rule the world, elephant would have be the one”. Thanks.

  10. I wonder what each of you can do if you were in power…I’ve seen a lot of activists go so wrongly, who thought they “CAN” then ran back or join the ones they formerly criticized. It all starts within you, you can start changes even in your homes, anywhere you find yourselves and don’t rot in blaming the people who would continue to put themselves first before anything.
I personally think one of the problems is the method of selection and positioning, lack of confidence inclusive. Sadly these people who can actually cause a breakthrough are hardly into politics. This is a country where money must come first, then what are your expectations?

  11. Just you wait.
Very Soon IPOB will be named a terrorist organization, then what will happen the buffoon of a chap you all cakl leader who hides deep undercover?
He will be smoked out, uprooted at the twinkle of a eye, and you cockroaches running around destructed along with him.

    1. It’s funny that when men of brains are putting their opinions into shape, you will see bozos in shape of men talking, too…go get your brain educated and then come out and tell us what you’re talking about.

  12. The COMEDY in Germany is a sad development, the Oyinbo watched the blacks that lack organized capacity disgracing their Senator who is voted by them forever. They didn’t take action because to them is a COMEDY.

WATCH my WORD: If IPOB continues this gangsterism may develope to be labeled one of the popular international terrorists group,

If they are unlucky to have killed their leader in Germany, to say the contrary the Oyinbo government would have awarded them trophy.

This move may further divide the Igbo initial genuine agitations, further destroy their cultural heritage of mutual respects and erode their good image. I wish my friends will collaborate together to rebuild their region, make it investments friendly, develop culture of leadership accountability through political process, secession though legitimate but may not be final solution to their problems.

    1. Your words has nothing to be marked, IPOB are doing the right thing, the politicians keep on enslaving the masses, protest is not a crime in the whole world but in Nigerian is crime, the leaders prefer not to listen to the people and do what is good. Instead they will use police and military to brutaliz them, the people are the government ,not the politicians. Everybody has the right to live, and equal rights and justice for all is not a crime in any democratic government. The resources is enough to take care for the needs, and to everyone in comforts. Let the citizens get protection from the leaders too. And not the other way round. In Europe and other parts of the country, the people comes first. Let the politicians WAKE-UP now. Let them learn from their mistakes. Is time for correction. Or get back the harvest of the evil seeds planted by them. There is no escape for them.

  13. That is true in the US who allows people to Express themselves. Can Ike move freely in Nigeria the way he did in Germany? If not why

  14. With this latest news nigeria will lower her integrity if any before d international community for not implementing democracy as clam.
