The Tinubu National Alliance, a support group for Tinubu/Shettima during the electioneering process has declared that the country can’t afford a Senate President with corruption cases with the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, Politics Nigeria reports
The group while pleading with the incoming admistration said, “As a senator, Senator Barau has been a strong and effective voice for his constituents, working assiduously to ensure that their needs are met and their rights are protected.
“Senator Barau has been a great politician and we’re very proud of him. He has been discharging his duties as a Senator of federal republic of Nigeria. He has been championing key bills and resolutions that have had a positive impact on the lives of Nigerians.
Speaking further:”we believe that Senator Barau possesses the necessary leadership qualities and experience to effectively steer the affairs of the Senate and work collaboratively with his colleagues to address the pressing challenges facing our nation. His track record of integrity, accountability, and inclusiveness makes him the ideal candidate to lead the Senate and promote the common good
“We urge all Nigerians to join us in supporting the candidacy of Senator Barau for the position of Senate President of Nigeria. We are confident that he will bring honor, dignity, and excellence to this important office, and we look forward to working with him to build a better Nigeria for all our people,” the group said.
As far as majority of Nigerians who made a choice on February 25, 2023 is concerned, a President has been elected and will be sworn in come May 29 as the Lord God of Israel lives.
