The stage is set for Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo (SAN) and Bola Tinubu, National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to battle for the 2023 presidential ticket of the ruling party.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that while Tinubu made his presidential ambition known in January, Osinbajo officially declared on Monday morning.
Osinbajo was Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice of Lagos State during the eight years’ reign of Tinubu as governor of the state. Now, Osinbajo is battling for the APC presidential ticket with Tinubu; Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State; Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi; Governor Dave Umahi of Ebony State; Senator Orji Uzor Kalu; et al.
This newspaper recalls that in January, Founder of the God’s Temple Church (GTC), London, United Kingdom, Pastor Peterside Iyun, said that Osinbajo has been favoured by God to become the next President of Nigeria while also stating that “his boss” (an apparent reference to Bola Tinubu) “will be compensated” in 2023.
“Prof Yemi osinbajo has been favourable [sic] by God to become the next President of Nigeria, while his boss will be compensated. Earnestly prayer for him. Secondly, the Biafra must still get their freedom from Nigeria,” Iyun had declared via a social media post.
