How Simon Ekpa Allegedly Begged to Speak with Enugu Governor Mbah [DETAILS]

Details have surfaced regarding the actions of Simon Ekpa, a Finland-based Biafra agitator and separatist, who allegedly sought to communicate with Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Aloy Ejimakor, the Special Counsel to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), disclosed a screenshot of an alleged WhatsApp chat on his official Twitter handle on Saturday, claiming that Ekpa reached out to him on July 19, begging to talk to Governor Peter Mbah.

Ejimakor said he believes that Ekpa’s attempt to speak with the governor was motivated by a possible betrayal of the detained IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu. The lawyer accused Ekpa of disobeying Kanu’s order, insinuating that he may have sought financial incentives in exchange for betraying MNK.

Ejimakor wrote, “Simon, these screenshots would prove that on 19th July, you begged me to facilitate your desperation to speak with Gov Mba, but I used my ‘number six’ to frustrate it because I knew you will ask him for money in return for betraying MNK. That’s why you disobeyed his order”.

This revelation comes shortly after Nnamdi Kanu ordered an end to the sit-at-home protest in the Southeast region—an order which Simon Ekpa has reportedly rejected.
